To encrypt your database password in Clik Service you will need admin privileges to alter system settings, or specifically 'Can Change System Settings' to be enabled.
Once you have logged into Clik Service go to 'Settings' on the top menu and select 'Database Connections'.
The database screen will load. If you have multiple company databases you may see more than one connection listed on the righthand side. To encrypt, press the 'Encrypt' button below the password screen.
Clik 'OK' to save your changes. The database password connection string is now encrypted.
To reverse the procedure, click on the 'Decrypt' button.
Do you use Clik Remote?
If you're using Clik Remote version 5.3.318 or newer, you can use a password encrypted by Clik Service. You can arrange an update with a member of our support team by emailing support@cliksoftware.com.
