To create a new diary entry go to the diary module and click on the new button at the top left of the diary screen.
The new diary item window will open. This is where you can fill as little or as much detail for your new diary item, but you have to at least put a start and end date.
If you check the reoccurring tick box to the right of start date you can then edit the reoccurrence pattern on the right-hand side of the diary item screen.
By ticking the private tick box, the item details will only be visible to you. Other users will see that you have a diary item but will not be able to double click and load the item.
High importance will flag the item up in red, while low importance makes the text less prominent.
When you create a new diary item it automatically adds you to the users and groups section at the bottom left of the screen.
If you wish to add other people to the diary item double-click on their name from the list to the right. You can add as many users as you want or you can add an entire group of people. The user groups are defined in the staff section of the program.
With each user or group that you add, you can allow the ability to edit or set reminders.
If you tick the reminder option on the right-hand side you can choose how often you want the reminder to pop up and if you want it to remind everyone or just selected attendees.
If you want to edit the date of a diary item, depending upon its type, you can click on it and drag it to the required date.
To delete a user simply highlight their name, right click and select delete from the drop-down menu.
