Clik Service has a stock control system with the flexibility to either automatically allocate and dispatch items or allows you to manually control some or all of them.
You can set the default you require from settings > settings > products.
Option 1 - Auto Allocation & Dispatch
Let Clik Service control the stock control automatically. Wherever you are adding a stock item, if the auto-allocate stock and auto-dispatch are ticked, then it will be allocated and dispatched.
Advantages: It's quick and easy
Disadvantages: The system will take stock from the default location, however, if it sees no stock in the default location it will take stock from another location.
Option 2: Auto Allocation
Similar to option 1, but with one exception – stock items will be allocated but not dispatched. This would mean when looking at the product stock level, it will still show in the count but as awaiting dispatch.
To dispatch the item(s) you would need to either go through each item or select auto dispatch when ready and all items will be dispatched (where the stock is available).
By manually dispatching each item you will also be able to select items from individual batches and locations.
Advantages: More control on when stock leaves and from which location/batch.
Disadvantages: User will have to monitor and control stock dispatch.
Option 3: Manual Allocation & Dispatch
This option puts you in full control of both allocation and dispatch of stock items. You will need to ensure both auto-allocate stock and auto-dispatch are un-ticked. You can change this in the settings to always be un-ticked by going to settings > products and un-ticking the below options.
Now, when you add stock to a job/invoice and you want to allocate/dispatch the items you have two options.
- You can now tick the auto allocate stock and auto dispatch options and when you hit save the items will be dispatched.
- If you double-click on each stock item you can manually choose the stock location and either click on save & auto-allocate/de-allocate or save & manually allocate/de-allocate.
By choosing to save & manually allocate/de-allocate, you will then be able to choose by location or go more advanced and choose by batch and individual serial number.
Once you have allocated your item click on dispatch all and the item will be dispatched.
Advantages: Puts you in full control of allocation & dispatch and allows you to select individual batch or serial numbers.
Disadvantages: More time consuming than auto allocate/dispatch.
